Working With Workspaces

You can perform the following workspace actions:

Switching Workspaces

You can switch workspaces in any one of the following ways:


Note - The arrow shortcut keys work according to how your workspaces are set in the Workspace Switcher applet. If you change your panel so that workspaces are displayed vertically instead of horizontally, use Ctrl+Alt+up arrow and Ctrl+Alt+down arrow to switch workspaces.


Adding and Deleting Workspaces

Use Workspace Switcher applet to add and delete workspaces.

How to Add Workspaces

  1. Right-click the Workspace Switcher applet, and then choose Preferences.

    The Workspace Switcher Preferences dialog is displayed.

  2. In the Number of Workspaces box, select the required number of workspaces to be added.
  3. Click Close.

How to Delete Workspaces

  1. Right-click the Workspace Switcher applet, and then choose Preferences.

    The Workspace Switcher Preferences dialog is displayed.

  2. In the Number of Workspaces box, decrease the value to reflect the number of workspaces visible on the desktop.
  3. Click Close.
