Split Commission Example
When the Split check box is checked, the commission will be paid at the lower rate tier when the transaction falls on the border of two tiers.
To calculate the commission for transaction ID 1000:
The commission rate = 4% for the first $1,000, which appears in the first tier in the Commission Percentage Rate Table.
2. Calculate the commission.
The commission for the first $1,000 is: 4% x $1,000 = $40.
3. Look up the commission rate for the second $500 in the Commission Percentage rate table.
The commission rate = 10% for the second $500, which appears in the second tier in the Commission Percentage Rate Table.
4. Calculate the commission.
The commission for the second $500 is: 10% x $500 = $50.
5. Calculate the total commission.
The total commission is $40 + $50 is: $90.
If you do not want to split the commission, uncheck the Split check box.
