The Hierarchy API allows users to transfer hierarchy data into Oracle Sales Compensation from other source tables without having to manually enter the data. This API is intended to facilitate the transfer of data from these legacy systems into Oracle Sales Compensation for the initial implementation of the Oracle Sales Compensation product. It also provides the ability to download data from the Oracle Sales Compensation system into an API table which can be used in the migration of data from a test database to a production database. The major features include:

• Upload Hierarchy - This is the process of transferring Dimension Hierarchy data from external systems into a particular implementation of Oracle Sales Compensation.

• Download Hierarchy - This takes Dimension Hierarchy information defined in the Oracle Sales Compensation application and downloads the data into a Dimension Hierarchy API table where it may be accessed by another implementation of Oracle Sales Compensation
