Overview of Accounting Close Cycle

Oracle Inventory provides the features you need to summarize costs related to inventory and manufacturing activities for a given accounting period and distribute those costs to the general ledger. You should be able to:

View, open, update, and close accounting periods. See: Maintaining Accounting Periods.

Transfer summary or detail inventory/work in process activity for a given period to the general ledger. See: Transferring Transactions to the General Ledger.

View transfer history information, delete errored transfers, and stop transfers in progress. See: Viewing General Ledger Transfer History.
