Line Options and the Configurator

Oracle Order Entry/Shipping provides two means by which to select configuration options. The Line Options window displays only the items you add to an order, much as the Sales Orders window's lines block does. The Configurator shows all available options (organized by class, if applicable). You can use either or both windows to choose items for an order. The following table presents a few differences between the two windows.

If you choose an option from the list of values in the Line Options window, the option's associated option classes, if any, are added automatically to your order. Similarly, choosing an option in the Configurator automatically selects associated option classes.
