This illustration shows two Web browsers connecting to one dispatcher. One browser is using HTTP over TCP/IP. The other browser is using IIOP over TCP/IP. A standard client is using TTC over TCP/IP to connect to a second dispatcher. The dispatcher is shown placing a virtual circuit on a common queue. Three shared server processes pick up the virtual circuits from the common queue, enabling the clients connections to an Oracle database. The illustration also shows the PMON process registering information with the listener.
