Text description of rowidtonchar

Purpose

The ROWIDTONCHAR function converts a rowid value to NVARCHAR2 datatype. The result of this conversion is always 18 characters long.

Example

SELECT LENGTHB( ROWIDTONCHAR(ROWID) ), ROWIDTONCHAR(ROWID) FROM emp; 

LENGTHB(ROWIDTONCHAR(ROWID)) ROWIDTONCHAR(ROWID)
