This figure describes how an application developed with Wireless Developer's Kit can be deployed on any device, protocol, or network.

• Application information passes through Oracle9iAS Wireless Core, which contains the following:
  • a runtime engine
  • protocol adapters
  • an XML application model
  • device and network adaptation units
• Wireless Core transforms the application information such that, when passed through any gateway, the information can be accessed by SMS, PDAs, WAP, Voice, or any other type of wireless device.
