Resource State metric is used to monitor state of various resources registered with Clusterware. The resources can be Oracle internal resources such as database, listener, ASM, VIP, or can be user defined application resources. Enterprise Manager alerts the user when the resource state is OFFLINE or when resource is not running at full expected cardinality (partially ONLINE) or when the resource is in INTERMEDIATE or UNKNOWN state. Alerts will be cleared when resource is ONLINE.
