Creating Accounts in Sales Handheld
When you identify a possible lead, the lead can be added as an account. You can then begin to add and track information about the account. To create an account
- Navigate to the Accounts screen.
The My Accounts list appears.
- Tap the New Record button.
- In the Name field tap the ellipsis (...), enter a name for the account, and then select More Info.
- In the More Info view, complete the necessary fields.
To add account addresses
- Navigate to the Accounts screen.
The My Accounts list appears.
- Select the account record, and from the Show drop-down list, choose Addresses.
- In the Account Addresses view, tap to select the Addresses list, and then from the File menu, select New Record.
- Select an existing account, or tap New to add a new address.
- Complete the fields for the address, and tap the Primary field to display a check mark if this is the primary address for the account.
To add additional account information
- Navigate to the Accounts screen.
The My Accounts list appears.
- From the Show drop-down list, select More Info.
- Complete the fields to add additional information.
The following table describes some fields in the More Info form. The name and address fields are automatically populated with information entered at the My Accounts and Addresses views.

Parent Account |
Select the parent account from the Pick Account picklist. |
Account Type |
Pick the Account Type from the list. Examples are Fulfillment Shipper, Commercial, Competitor. |
Account Team |
Displays the primary Account Team member with which the account is associated. To associate the account with one or more team members, navigate to the Account > Account Team view. |
URL |
Text entry. |
Industries |
Displays the primary industry with which the account is associated. |
Price List |
Choose applicable price list from the Pick Price List dialog box. |
Current Volume |
Enter amount, or tap the ellipses and enter Currency Code, Exchange Date and Amount in the dialog box. Then tap OK. |
Potential Volume |
Enter amount, or tap the ellipses and enter Currency Code, Exchange Date and Amount in the dialog box. Then tap OK. |
Status |
A list of values established by your company. Status examples might be Qualified, Silver, Active. |
Currency |
Select the currency code from the Pick Currency Code list. |
The My Accounts list appears.
