Creating Property-Specific Products

Use the Product Administration screen to create property-specific products.

This task is a step in Process of Setting Up Products and Assets.

To create a property-specific product

1. Navigate to the Administration - Product screen > Products list.
2. In the Products list, click New and Release to create a new product record.
3. Complete the appropriate fields and save the record.

   The following table describes some of the fields.

   Field	Description
   Name	The product name.
   Part #	The part number for the product.
   Type	The type of product. Examples are Menu, Package, Sleeping Room, and Setup Style.
   Organization	Automatically populated with the name of the default organization. The user can change the selection or add more than one organization, designating one organization as the primary.
   UoM	The unit of measure used for the product. For example, if coffee is the product, the unit of measure might be pounds.
   Revenue Subcategory	The revenue subcategory for the product.
   Revenue Category	This field is automatically populated after a revenue subcategory is specified.
   Revenue Parent Category	This field is automatically populated after a revenue subcategory is specified.
   Resource Type	Designates whether the product is Critical, Non Critical, or General. For more information about these values, see About Hospitality Assets.
   Property	The property associated with the product.
