About the Quote Summary Report

Event managers generate and print the Quote Summary Report is generated to display aggregated totals for sleeping rooms and functions associated with a quote. The report reflects what appears on the Quote Screen > Summary view and provides a summary of all the calculated totals.

The Quote Summary view allows the user to gauge the profitability, cost, and the revenue totals associated with the quote. For more information, see Revenue Management for more information.

Figure 17 shows a sample Quote Summary report. The top section consists of general administrative information about the quote record.

The last two sections show a breakdown of the calculated totals for sleeping rooms and functions associated with the quote. For sleeping rooms, these calculations include the Total Sleeping Room Nights, and Total Sleeping Room Revenue. The function section includes the calculations for Function Space Revenue (FS Revenue), Function Space Profit (FS Profit), Total Square Feet Used, and Total Quote Revenue.

The Quote Summary report allows the user to view the total quote amount calculated based on the line items associated with the quote record. The rules that govern what information appears on the Quote Summary Report include:

• The Total Sleeping Room Nights value is the sum of the contracted sleeping rooms.
• The Total Sleeping Room Revenue value is derived from the Sleeping Room Revenue value in the Quote Summary view.
• The FS Revenue is derived from the Function Space Revenue value in the Quote Summary view.
• The FS Profit is derived from the Function Space Profit value in the Quote Summary view.
• The Total Square Feet Used value is the sum of the function space area designated for the function.
• The Total Quote Revenue value is the sum of the Total Sleeping Room Revenue and FS Revenue.
