Verifying PCD Content

You must verify that the PCD content loads in to the Siebel database correctly, and that the content works as intended before making the content available to users of Siebel Business Applications. Ensure that any help files or assessments associated with the message displays properly.

You can click Verify to load and verify the PCD content. When you close the Verify window, you are prompted to select a verification status of Success or Failed.

To verify PCD content

1. Navigate to the Document Administration > Literature view.
2. In Literature view, click Verify.

   The PCD content and component files are loaded, and a Verify window (PCD Planner) is launched in preview mode.

3. Check the content and ensure that all links are working.
4. Click Save and the Message Verification dialog displays.
5. Select the verification status, either Success or Failed.

   You can select Success, if the content is successfully loaded to PCD. If you select Failed, the content is not loaded, and the content might have to be revised. For example, you might have to recreate content using a compatible format.

   The result is written to the verification status field of the message record.
