Configuring Secure Communications

The following sections describe how to set up encryption for communication between components in the Siebel environment. Encryption may be configured for data traffic between the Web server, Siebel Server, and Siebel Web Client.

NOTE:  Encryption options described in this section are not used to encrypt data in the database, as described in Configuring Data Encryption. Also, these encryption options are not used for communication with the database—for such encryption, check with your database vendor.
