Using Siebel Tools > Siebel Script Editors > Setting the ST eScript Engine Warnings PreferenceThis preference is set under Engine Settings in the Development Tools Options window. Click the Enable Warnings checkbox to enable this setting. The ST eScript Engine includes warnings which alert the user of potential problems that may be encountered at compile time. Some potential problems are:
Errors such as those listed previously usually end up causing a run-time failure. Therefore, these compilation warnings enable you to fix errors earlier in your development cycle. The ST eScript Engine is downward compatible with the T eScript engine, so any scripts you may be running on that engine will run in the same way. If you do not want these warnings displayed, deselect the Enable Warnings box. The following is an example of a compilation warning message generated following a run-time failure: Semantic Warning around line 5:Variable oApp might not be initialized.
