About the ADM Package Descriptor File

The package descriptor file contains information that is grouped by data type: database, repository, and file. Individual deployment unit details are listed in chronological order under each data type. If there are no units for a particular data type in the package, that data type group will not be created. Each unit has details such as:

• PackageNameAtCreation. The package name at creation.
• SchemaVersion. The aggregate SchemaVersion of all the database units.

The descriptor file has an attribute, ActivateOnly, which can be manually set to TRUE to make the package ActivateOnly. By default this attribute is set to FALSE.
