Communications Server and Wireless Messaging

Siebel Communications Server can send one-way (outbound) messages in wireless message format using the Communications Outbound Manager (alias CommOutboundMgr) component. To enable this functionality you associate a profile with the Internet SMTP/POP3 Server communications driver. The profile that you associate with the Internet SMTP/POP3 Server communications driver must have the following values specified:

• From Address
• SMTP Server

If a recipient attempts to reply to a wireless message with a wireless message, the message is not processed. If, on the other hand, a recipient replies to a wireless message with an email message the email message is processed by Siebel Email Response.
