About Wireless Messaging


Siebel users can send one-way (outbound) wireless messages automatically or manually from within various Siebel application modules and features. These outbound wireless messages can be sent to various kinds of recipients in a variety of usage scenarios:

  • Send Wireless Message command manually invoked by a user by choosing the application-level menu command File > Send Wireless Message. For more information, see Sending Wireless Messages.

    A user can invoke the Send Wireless Message command from the communications toolbar. For more information, see Initiating Work Items.

  • Outbound communication requests, specified using views in the Administration - Communications screen (administrators) or the Communications screen (end users). For more information, see Defining Outbound Communication Requests.
  • Any module that invokes methods of the Outbound Communications Manager business service to send outbound communications for the wireless message channel.
