Specifying Parent Service Regions


This task is a step in Process of Setting Up Scheduling.

A parent region can be set for any service region. Parent regions affect the list of available employees on the Dispatch Board screen (see Searching for Activities in the Dispatch Board's Gantt Chart (End User)) but do not have any effect on how scheduling is carried out.

NOTE:  Selecting a parent region does not impact scheduling with the ABS or the Optimizer.

To specify a parent service region

  1. Navigate to the Administration - Scheduling screen > Service Regions List view.
  2. Select a service region record and in the Parent Service Region field, select a service region.
