Scenario for Using Siebel Service Handheld

This scenario provides an example of a workflow process performed by field technicians using Siebel Service Handheld. Your company can follow a different process flow according to its business requirements.

Each morning, the field technician synchronizes Siebel Service Handheld with the Siebel Server. After the synchronization is complete, they review their activities for the day, determines what parts they need for their jobs, and verifies that they have the required parts. The field technician records that they are en route to their first visit. When the field technician arrives at the customer site, they record the time of their arrival and review the instructions and steps for the first activity. The field technician checks off the steps as they complete them and records the starting and ending times for each step. They take a reading and record the measurement. The field technician needs to replace a part, and records that the part is coming out of their trunk and generates an order for the movement. They complete all the steps for the activity, record their time, enter their expenses, and generates an invoice for the billable expenses, time, and parts. The field technician closes out the activity and continues on to the next activity.
