About Setting Up Siebel High Tech and Industrial Manufacturing

To set up Siebel High Tech and Industrial Manufacturing, follow the instructions in the following sections of Siebel Partner Relationship Management Administration Guide:

• Setting Up Siebel PRM. This section contains high-level instructions for installing, configuring, and controlling visibility.
• Working with New Partners. This section describes how to add partner companies and partner employees. You must add the distributor companies that will use the Partner Portal. You can add distributor company employees, or they can be added by delegated administrators at the distributor company.

NOTE:  When you add partner companies, you must assign someone at the supplier company to be partner manager for each partner company. In Siebel Partner Relationship Management Administration Guide, assigning a partner manager is optional. For Siebel High Tech and Industrial Manufacturing, assigning a partner manager is required, if you want submitted design registration to be automatically assigned to the partner manager for the corresponding partner organization.
