About Creating and Editing Treatment Templates

To create an Email Treatment or Web treatment, you must start with a treatment template. A template can be empty or can include text and other elements. Treatment templates are available in Siebel Marketing, Siebel Web Marketing, and Siebel Campaigns. You can create the document that serves as a template using any HTML tool or text editor such as Adobe GoLive, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Microsoft Front Page, or Windows Notepad. After creating the source document you upload it to the Treatment Templates list.

After creating a template, you add the file to the template list and associate the template with a treatment. When you associate a template with a treatment, Siebel Marketing creates a copy of the template, leaving the master unaffected. This copy has the same name as the original and adds a time stamp to provide a history.

Treatment templates can be associated with the following treatment types:

• Fax treatments. For more information on Fax treatments, see Associating Templates with Fax Treatments.
• Email treatments. When creating an email treatment, you can use the Edit Email view tab to associate a template with the treatment.
• Web treatments. When creating a Web Treatment, you can use the Edit Web Treatment view tab to associate a template with the treatment.
