Ungrouping Bulk Items in the Shopping Cart (End User)


Business users working through the Web frequently need to order customizable items in bulk. For example, a business user may order 20 customizable phone lines for installation at the same location. Rather than configure each instance separately, they can configure the item once and apply the configuration to all the instances. They can then adjust the configuration of individual instances of the item as needed.

To add bulk items to the shopping cart

  1. Add a customizable product to the Shopping Cart.
  2. Navigate to the Shopping Cart.
  3. In the product's Qty field, enter the quantity.
  4. Click Update Quantity.
  5. If necessary, select the product's record.
  6. Click Customize.

    Selection pages appear that display the customizable components and attributes of the item.

  7. Select components and attributes, and then click Done.

    The Shopping Cart appears.

  8. Verify that the product's record is selected, and then click Ungroup.

    One record is created for each instance of the customizable item.

  9. To adjust the configuration of an ungrouped instance of the item, click its record, and then click Customize.
