Alarm Manager Load Frequency

A system preference called Alarm Manager Load Frequency determines how frequently the calendar alarm queries the server for alarm-enabled appointments. The default value is 60 minutes, but you may want to change this time to better suit your business needs: querying the server less frequently results in fewer SQL calls. However, each SQL call takes longer to execute. In certain cases, this trade-off results in improved performance. (Also, if the alarm frequency is less than the session time-out set in the eapps.cfg file, sessions never time out.)
