Specifying Mobile Device Settings


By using the Mobile screen, which is available with many Siebel eBusiness Applications, you can manage your mobile devices and wireless messaging addresses for these devices. You can:

  • Register your mobile devices and specify device priority
  • Specify mobile device addresses and specify address priority
  • Specify which types of wireless messages you would like to receive automatically from the Siebel application

The Mobile screen is accessible in the following Siebel applications: Siebel Call Center, Siebel Sales, Siebel Service, and Siebel Partner Portal. However, this screen requires a license for either Siebel Wireless Messaging or Siebel Wireless.

NOTE:  You can access the Mobile screen from your Siebel eBusiness Application running the Siebel Web Client. The Mobile screen is not supported in the Siebel Mobile Web Client or Siebel Dedicated Web Client.

To configure your mobile device for wireless messaging

  1. From the application-level menu, choose Navigate > Site Map > Mobile.

    The Message Delivery view appears (the default view in this screen).

  2. In the Mobile Devices list, select the mobile device you want to work with, or, if necessary, create a new mobile device record. You configure the selected device as described in subsequent sections:
