Installing Siebel Server Components for Siebel Wireless Messaging

Siebel Wireless Messaging uses the Communications Outbound Manager server component for sending outbound messages, and uses the Communications Inbound Receiver and Communications Inbound Processor server components for receiving and processing inbound messages (for two-way wireless messaging). Siebel Wireless Messaging also uses the Workflow Process Manager server component.

These Communications Server components are part of the Communications Management component group.

The Workflow Process Manager component is part of the Workflow Management component group.

To send or receive wireless messages, you must first enable the applicable enterprise component groups on the Siebel Server. You can enable component groups when installing Siebel Server, or after Siebel Server is installed. Make sure that the components you need are configured and running.

For more information, see Administering Siebel Communications Server and see Siebel System Administration Guide and Siebel Business Process Designer Administration Guide.

To use workflows in sending or receiving wireless messages, the Workflow Management enterprise component group must also be enabled. You can enable this component group when installing Siebel Server, or after Siebel Server is installed. Make sure the server components you need are configured and running.

For more information about Siebel Workflow, see Siebel Business Process Designer Administration Guide. For more information about the Siebel Server environment, see Siebel System Administration Guide.
