Renaming the Siebel Life Sciences Configuration File

Upgrades from: Siebel 6.x.

Environments: Production test, production.

This topic is part of an upgrade process. See How to Perform a Siebel Database Upgrade.

If you are upgrading from Siebel 6.3 Life Sciences to Siebel 7.7.x, you must rename your .cfg file before you upgrade your mobile and connected clients as instructed in Siebel Anywhere Administration Guide. This action prevents an error from occurring when you log in to the ePharma client.

After you install the upgraded Client Executables and Client Executables ENU, but before you create the packager kit with Siebel Anywhere, copy the file named ePharma.cfg and rename the copy to Pharma.cfg in the new build client before you create the packager kit.

If you do not rename the .cfg file, you may receive the following error message when you try to log in to the upgraded ePharma client: Unable to load configuration file "D:\63\client\Bin\ENU\Pharma.cfg".
