Verifying IBM DB2 Permissions for a Siebel Upgrade
Upgrades from: All Siebel releases. Environments: Development, production test, production. Databases: IBM DB2 only. Platforms: UNIX only. This topic is part of an upgrade process. See How to Perform a Siebel Database Upgrade. If you are running IBM DB2 on the AIX or Solaris platform, perform the following steps before executing the Siebel database upgrade. To verify DB2 permissions
- Navigate to the instance home directory.
- Use the following command to verify that the directory
sqllib/function/routine/sqlproc has write permission for the group:
ls -ld sqllib/function/routine/sqlproc
- To authorize group write permission, enter the following command:
chmod g+w sqllib/function/routine/sqlproc
