Installation Prerequisites for HP-UX

For successful Siebel Analytics Server operations on HP-UX, some kernel parameters, such as the following may need to be adjusted. The parameters listed below and their corresponding values are provided as examples and rough guidelines only. You can adjust these and other parameters based on actual system load, usage patterns such as the number of concurrent users and sessions, the types of queries, query frequency, database sizes, and so on.

   maxfiles: 2048

   maxfiles_lim: 2048

   dbc_max_pct: 50

The following HP operating system patches (or more recent versions) must be installed. Failure to install these patches could lead to extremely long Siebel Analytics Server startup times.
