Mapping Siebel Analytics Subject Areas
Each Analytics subject area that will be used by Visual Segmentation to create segments must be mapped as a Siebel Marketing table. To map Analytics subject areas to Marketing tables, you use the Marketing Administration screen's External Data Mapping view. For instructions, see Working With Tables. See the following list for Visual Segmentation exceptions:
- In the Tables list, the Reference Name and the Table Name fields must exactly match the Siebel Analytics subject area name.
- In the Tables List, if the Analytics subject area name contains a space or a special character, the reference name and the table name must be enclosed in double quotes. See the following list for examples:
Subject Area Name Reference Name Table Name Marketing Marketing Marketing Marketing Data "Marketing Data" "Marketing Data"- In the Fields list, if you add a new field manually, the reference field value must be enclosed in double quotes.
NOTE: You might want to add a new field after you import the Analytics table and its fields. New fields must be added manually in the Marketing Administration screen. For instructions, see Adding New Fields After Data Mapping.
The following is a list of examples showing how to specify these names:
