Configuring Siebel Server to Work with Siebel Analytics ODBC on UNIX

This task is required if you want NQSODBC to be configured as the only data source of Siebel Server. It is necessary only for Siebel Analytics applications running on UNIX platforms.

NOTE:  The Siebel Analytics application must already be installed.

To configure NQSODBC as the single Siebel Server data source

1. Log on as a separate telnet session.
2. Go to the Siebel Analytics installation /setup folder.
3. Run the following script:

   saodbc_init.sh -s [Siebel Server Root] -a [Analytics Root].

   The script modifies Siebel Server files siebenv.sh, siebenv.csh, registry and sys/.odbc.ini to include the correct path and environment variable entries.

4. Resource siebenv.csh or siebenv.sh and run odbcsql to verify the ODBC connection.
