Other Critical Parameters

To improve scalability, use the parameter information in this section. For more detailed information on the parameters in this section, see Siebel Server Administration Guide.

OM-Model Cache Maximum

This parameter determines the size of the cache for model objects in Object Manager-based server components, such as Business Service Manager and Workflow Process Manager. Each model in the cache creates two database connections for the life of the model (one connection for insert, update, and delete operations; the other connection for read-only operations).

The model cache improves performance for the OM-based server components. More cache helps throughput, but only in asynchronous mode. Keep in mind, however, that this costs memory. The volume of the model cache should be determined case by case. In general, use the default value.

NOTE:  It is generally recommended that you do not disable the OM-Model Cache Maximum parameter. The default value is 10. A value of 0 disables this parameter, and the maximum setting for this parameter is 100.

HonorMaxTask=TRUE

If HonorMaxTasks is set to TRUE, then once MaxTasks is reached, all further requests are rejected instead of being queued.

Recycle Factor

Recycle Factor allows WfProcMgr processes to be restarted periodically.
