qualifying ratios

Calculations that are used in determining whether a borrower can qualify for a mortgage. They consist of two separate calculations; a housing expense as a percent of income ratio and total debt obligations as a percent of income ratio.

Queries drop-down list

Provides a list of predefined and saved searches and queries from which a user can select. Users can select a queries item from the menu and perform the search or query, save it under a different name, or delete it.

query

A process that searches the database for a specific subset of data based on one or more conditions or criteria. When creating a query, the user initiates a request to find a specific record or set of records using symbols called operators, such as the > (greater than) and = (equal to) signs. Siebel applications allow the user to create either a simple or a compound query:

A predefined query is one that has been established by the system administrator and cannot be deleted or modified by most users.

query by example (QBE)

(1) A method of forming queries by entering conditions in the blank fields of records displayed by the database program. (2) In Siebel applications, the method employed for querying the records displayed in a list or form applet. (3) In Siebel Tools, the method employed for creating Object List Editor queries.

query cache

A facility to store query results for use by other queries.

query language

A specialized language for requesting information from a database. One of the standard query languages is Structured Query Language (SQL).

queue

Using Siebel Universal Queuing, a mechanism that stores inbound work items, prior to routing them to agents.
