Recalculating Compensation

Siebel Incentive Compensation allows you to simulate compensation pay for a particular period before releasing it to the field. You can continue to make changes to the plan or the data and recalculate compensation.

There are two ways to recalculate compensation:

Recalculate with new results overwriting old results
Recalculate with both new results and old results displayed

To recalculate compensation with new results overwriting old results

From the application-level menu, choose View > Site Map > Incentive Compensation Tracking > Calculation Runs.
In the Calculation Runs list, select the calculation run you want to overwrite.

You must select an unreleased calculation run.

In the Calculation Runs list, click the menu button and choose Calculate.

NOTE:  You can make the calculation run visible at any point during this process. This allows sales representatives to review and provide comments on the results before they are actually released. You can also make the calculation run invisible.

If you have already released a calculation run and need to correct earnings stated for that period, you can recalculate compensation. In most cases, you will replace the original earnings with the results of the new calculation. The corrected earnings are included in the employee balances for each included participant. To recalculate compensation with new results and old results displaying

From the application-level menu, choose View > Site Map > Incentive Compensation Tracking > Calculation Runs.
In the Calculation Runs list, click New, and enter a name for the new record.
In the new record, select the same period as in the old calculation run record.
In the Calculation Runs list, click the menu button and chose Calculate.

After a calculation run has been released to end users, calculation cannot be run again for the same run name and period. You can, however, run the same period again using a different run name.
