Creating a Stand-Alone Quota


You can create a stand-alone quota—the target amount or number of expected sales for a sales representative. If you use the quota setting tool, you can create quota targets for the entire sales team or selected groups.

To create a stand-alone quota

  1. From the application-level menu, choose View > Site Map > Incentive Compensation Administration > Quotas.
  2. In the Quota list, click New, and complete the fields for the new record.
  3. The table that follows describes the fields.

    Field
    Comments
    Name
    The quota name.
    Quota Type
    Amount is the quota amount.
    Quantity is the quota quantity.
    Performance Measure
    Quota Attainment is calculated using the revenue of the selected performance measure divided by the Quota Target.
    • Revenue is the amount of revenue.
    • Units are the units of measure.
    • Com Cred Rev (Commission Credit Revenue) is the amount of commission credit revenue.
    • Quota Cred Rev (Quota Credit Revenue) is the amount of quota credit revenue.
    Period
    Click the select button, and in the Pick Period dialog box query for a specific Month, Quarter, or Year for the filter criteria period.
    Measure Period Type
    Select the period for the performance measure. Options are Day, Week, Bi-Weekly, Month, Quarter, Half-Year, or Year.
    Cumulative
    Select the check box to indicate that the quota is cumulative for the selected period.
    Display
    The check box is selected (default) to display the quota. You can clear the check box.
