The following section describes the process a compensation administrator might follow to create plan elements. Your company may follow a different process according to its business requirements.

Administrator Procedures

The compensation administrator performs the following tasks to create compensation plan elements.

  1. Creates Plan Rule Rate Table. The administrator defines how compensation is paid for each plan rule. For more information, see Creating a Plan Rule Rate Table.
  2. Creates Multipliers. The administrator defines multipliers for plan rules. For more information, see Creating a Multiplier.
  3. Defines Draws. The administrator sets up default draws, and establishes different draws for some plan participants. For more information, see Creating a Draw for a Compensation Plan.
  4. Creates Target Incentives. The administrator creates target incentives to determine the payout for a plan participant. For more information, see Creating a Target Incentive.
