Creating Common Quota Factors


Using the quota-setting tool, you can create quota factors that managers can use to adjust quota targets. Managers select these factors to adjust the quota targets of their next-level reports.

To create a quota factor

  1. From the application-level menu, choose View > Site Map > Incentive Compensation Administration > Quota Factors.
  2. In the Quotas Factors list, click New.
  3. In the new record, enter a name for the quota factor, and complete the fields.
  4. The following table describes the fields.

    Comments
    Default Value
    Enter a default percent value. The percent value can be either positive or negative. This percent amount is applied to the quota target to calculate a Factored Target Amount. Managers can modify this default amount for next-level reports.
    Description
    A text field that can be used to describe the quota factor.
    Hidden
    Indicates whether or not the quota factor is visible in the employee (sales representative) output views.
    High Limit
    Enter the highest percent limit for the factor. Managers can modify the factor amount, but the new amount cannot be higher than this limit.
    Low Limit
    Enter the lowest percent limit for this factor. Managers can modify the factor amount, but the new amount cannot be lower than this limit.
    Mandatory
    The check box can be selected to remind managers to apply the quota factor.
    Name
    The name of the quota factor.
