Character Set Execution Setting

This setting allows you to change the character set type to match your database requirements. The default character set is UTF-8. To perform searches against a non-unicode, or code page database, you need to create a new character set type.

To create a new character set type

Navigate to Site Map > Application Administration > List of Values.
In the List of Values list, query for the following: FULCRUM_PROP_CHAR_SET.
From the List of Values menu, select Copy Record.

A copy of the existing record appears.

In the Display Value and Language-Independent Code fields enter the appropriate character set, for example: Win_1252, then step off the record to save it.
