Running Component Requests

You can run a component request using either components or component jobs, and you can schedule the component request to run once at a specific time.

To run a component request

  1. Navigate to the Enterprise Operations screen.
  2. Click the Component Requests view tab.
  3. The Component Requests view appears.

  4. In the Component Requests form, click New.
  5. In the Component/Job field, click the select button.
  6. The Component/Jobs dialog box appears.

NOTE:  If the Component/Jobs dialog box contains no records, synchronize the Siebel Server components. See Synchronizing Server Components for information on this process.

  7. In the Component/Jobs dialog box, select the component or component job and click OK.
  8. If you want to use a component job for your component request, you must first define the component job. For information on defining component jobs, see Component Job Administration.

  9. Enter data in other appropriate fields; click the menu button, and then click Save Record.
  10. In the Component Request Parameters list, add or change any component parameters for the component request; click the menu button and then click Save Record.
  11. In the Component Requests form, click the menu button and then Submit request.
  12. The Status field changes from Creating to Queued.
