Edit Toolbar


The Edit toolbar contains edit tools, the New Object wizard, and undo and redo options. It contains the following buttons:

New. Invokes the New Object Wizard, which allows you to create applets, views, charts and other object definitions.

Save. Saves changes in the current editing window when you are editing Layout, Menu, or Basic Scripts.

Save All. Saves changes in all open editing windows.

Cut. In a text property, copies the selected text to the clipboard and deletes the existing text. In the Applet Designer, copies the selected control to the clipboard and deletes the existing control.

Copy. In a text property, copies the selected text to the clipboard without deleting it. In the Applet Designer, copies the selected control to the clipboard without deleting it.

Paste. Inserts text from the clipboard into a text property at the insertion point. In the Applet Designer, inserts a control from the clipboard.

Undo. Reverses the last change to a property value in the Object List Editor or Property window if the object definition has not been committed.

Redo. Reapplies to a property value the change that was just undone.

Several of these tools are also available from the Edit menu. You can also display a menu of edit tools by selecting a field and right-clicking while the cursor is positioned over the Object List Editor window. See Edit Menu and Right-Click Menus for more information.
