Bidding on an English or Modified English Auction

You place bids on an English or Modified auction item with the intention of winning the item or service with the highest bid.

To place a bid on an English or Modified English auction

  1. Navigate to the Auction Item Detail screen for the English or Modified English auction item.

  2. To set the AutoBid feature, type the highest bid amount you are willing to pay in the My Maximum Bid field.
  3. If you will accept less than the quantity you entered in the My Quantity field, click to check Accept Partial Quantities.

    4. NOTE:  The Accept Partial Quantities field does not display if the quantity is one.

  4. In the My Quantity field, enter the number of items on which you want to bid.
  5. Click Place Bid.

    6. If your bid was entered correctly, it is entered into the auction and the auction is added to your My Auctions list. The Bid History list on the Auction Item Detail screen displays the status of your bid.
