Adding Auction Parameters (Dutch Auction)


Price and time intervals are unique for Dutch auctions. The following fields appear if you selected Dutch as your auction type on the Auction Information screen.

To define auction parameters for a Dutch auction

  1. Complete the following fields on the Create Auction wizard screen.
  2. Field
    Description
    Currency
    Click the select button to select the currency used for the auction.
    Start Price
    The Initial bid amount.
    Minimum Price
    The lowest bid price you will accept for the item. The bid price will not go lower than this amount.
    Bid Decrement
    The amount the price will decrease or increase over time.
    To increase the price, you must use a negative number.
    Time Between Reduction (min.)
    The time the price will increase or decrease, in minutes. This is the time interval that must pass before the price is automatically changed.
    Total Quantity
    The quantity of the product that is for sale.
    Min. Bid Quantity Accepted
    The smallest quantity you will accept for a single bid if you are selling more than one auction item.

  3. Click Next.
