Using Bulk Upload


After you have set up your XML file and converted any graphics to Base64 format (and pasted them into the XML file), you are ready to begin the bulk upload process.

To bulk upload items

  1. Navigate to the Catalog Administration screen.
  2. Click the hyperlink for the catalog that will contain the uploaded items.
  3. The Categories screen appears.

  4. In the Categories list, select the category that will contain the uploaded items.
  5. Click the Auctions tab and click Bulk Upload.
  6. The Select Categories screen appears.

  7. If needed, add a category or categories in the Categories list and click Select.
  8. In the Selected Auction Categories list, click Continue.
  9. The Bulk Upload screen appears.

  10. Click Find File.
  11. The Bulk Upload dialog box appears.

  12. To find the file you want to upload, click Browse.
  13. The Choose File dialog box appears.

  14. Navigate to the file you want to upload and double-click the file.
  15. The file name is displayed in the Bulk Upload dialog box.

  16. Click Import to complete the upload process.

To revise and activate the eAuction XML Bulk Upload workflow

  1. From the application-level menu, choose View > Site Map> Siebel Workflow Administration > Workflow Processes.
  2. The Workflow Processes screen appears.

  3. Click Query.
  4. A blank query appears on the Workflow Processes list.

  5. In the Name field, type eAuc* XML*.
  6. Click Search.
  7. A list of eAuction-related workflows appears in the Workflow Processes list.

  8. Select eAuction XML Bulk Upload and click Revise.
  9. A revised version of the original workflow appears below the original workflow.

    NOTE:  The Status field of the new workflow displays the words In Progress, and the Version field displays the number 1.

  10. Select the In Progress workflow and click Activate.
  11. Once activated, the workflow process displays a status of Active.
