The Siebel eBriefings Environment

Siebel eBriefings is a zero-footprint application that users can access using a standard Web browser. Siebel eBriefings accesses servers outside your company's firewall to provide users with information from external content providers, such as Siebel eContent Services. Figure 1 shows the Siebel eBriefings architecture. The illustration shows a Web browser that connects to a Web server. The Web server connects to the Siebel Gateway, which in turn connects to the other Siebel servers. The Siebel servers are connected to a database and, through the Internet, to eContent Services.
