Assigning Access to Categories

Access groups control which groups of users can see particular categories. Access groups are associated with categories under the Access Group tab.

To associate an access group with a category

  1. Navigate to Catalog Administration.
  2. The Catalogs list appears.

  3. Click the name of a catalog.
  4. The Categories list displays the categories belonging to that catalog.

  5. Select a category.
  6. Click the Access Groups tab.
  7. The access groups associated with that category appear.

  8. Add a new record to the Access Groups list.
  9. A dialog box appears.

  10. Select an access group, and then click Add.
  11. The access group appears under the Access Groups tab.
