Requirements for Employee Applications
The following lists the requirements for employee applications. For an
explanation of employee applications, see Deployment
Modes for Siebel Business Applications.
Note
the following information about browser support:
- All
32-bit
versions of Internet Explorer 6.0, Internet Explorer 7.0, and Internet
Explorer 8.0 are supported for employee applications.
- The
64-bit
versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, Internet Explorer 7.0, and
Internet Explorer 8.0 are not
supported for use with the ActiveX
client.

For
each
supported browser you must install Oracle Java Runtime
Environment (JRE) version 1.4.2 or later. For more information about

NOTE: Tabbed browsing is
supported with Siebel applications for one active session.
Multiple Web
pages may be opened using tabbed browsing, but only one tab can have an
active connection to a Siebel application at any time.

applications. If you encounter any issues while implementing or
upgrading, see the Siebel
