Checking Permissions Settings for Installation Folders

On Windows platforms, the directory in which Siebel Analytics is installed and the location chosen for the Siebel Analytics temporary data directory both need to have the permission settings set to Change/Full Control for the Microsoft Internet Information Service (IIS) domain user account that Siebel Analytics Web will run under. This is generally the default user IUSR_machinename. You can verify these settings, and change them if required, from the Security tab on the Windows Properties dialog box.

To verify the Siebel Analytics Web permission settings

1. Access the Windows Properties dialog box from Windows Explorer.
2. Right-click on the directory.

   For example, D:\SiebelAnalytics, or D:\SiebelAnalyticsData, or D:\Program Files\SiebelAnalytics.

3. Choose Properties.
4. Click the Security tab to see the settings.
5. Make any required changes. Click Apply.
6. Click OK to exit.
