Installing GSKit on Solaris

You install GSKit on the machine where Siebel Analytic Server resides. By default, the GSK is installed under /opt/ibm/gsk6.

To install GSKit on Solaris

  1. Log in as root.
  2. Copy the file gskit604d-solaris.tar under the GSK directory to a temporary directory.
  3. Unpack the tar file.

    tar xvf gskit604d-solaris.tar

  4. Unpack the tar.Z file

    zcat gsk6bas.tar.Z | tar xvf -

  5. Install GSKit 6.0.

    pkgadd -d . gsk6bas

  6. Verify the installation using this command:

    pkginfo|grep gsk6bas

Uninstalling GSKit on Solaris

Uninstall the GSKit using the following procedure.
