Configuring the General Ledger Account Hierarchies

The are two ways to set up hierarchies in Oracle Financial Analytics:

Using General Ledger Accounting Flexfield Value Sets Definitions (for more information, see Configuring General Ledger Account Hierarchies Using General Ledger Accounting Flexfield value sets definitions).
Using the Financial Statement Generator (FSG) Report Definition (Configuring General Ledger Account Hierarchies Using Financial Statement Generator (FSG) Report Definition).

Whichever method you choose to set up General Ledger Account hierarchies, you store the hierarchy information in the W_HIERARCHY_D table. To illustrate how hierarchy information is stored in the W_HIERARCHY_D table, see the following example using US Acct.
