Getting Started with Sales Prospector Version 1.0

Sales Prospector identifies potential opportunities by locating gaps in your customers' purchasing patterns. Ordinarily, preparing a sale is time-consuming, because it is difficult to have a broad understanding of each customer's demographic profile, and financial strength. Sales Prospector bases its sales recommendations on the purchasing histories of customers, and the sales history of each product.

Sales Prospector provides the following information:

  • Customer demographic, financial and commercial profile
  • Application-generated recommendations, based on the probability of purchase and the purchase history
  • A time frame for sales to close and potential estimated revenue
  • References for potential sales
  • Customer's existing products and purchase amount for prior purchases

When you locate a customer, Sales Prospector displays the customer's existing products and previous recommendations and quotations.

Before You Begin

  • Set your preferences. Click the Preferences link to change the filter values in the application, to display values in the graph, and so on. For more information on setting preferences, see Setting Your Preferences.
